It is rainy in Bentonville today, a tornado watch is in effect. While listening to a lecture in an old warehouse converted to classrooms, I could hear loud claps of thunder and heavy rain. Made me glad that I would be dealing with the incredible traffic jam on Bentonville’s main road this afternoon and not the traffic jam occurring in airports across the southeast.

Recently I have been wading though “Understanding China”, a very dry book describing the economy, history and political culture of China…ouch. So I took a few days to loose myself in the magical words of Bruce Chatwin’s “In Patagonia.” For those of us who dream of travel, adventure and the mysteries of South America, this book touches the soul.
