Another bumpy ride at the rodeo, 30,000′ up. I stayed glued to the window as spectacular lightening shows lit up distant clouds and the sunset between the lower and upper cloud layers….wow, worth the price of the airline ticket! Unfortunately, I think Bentonville is still under the same tornado watch that was in effect last week, which means tomorrow night’s flight home, like last week’s flight home, should be a test of personal faith.

I am nose deep into another travel adventure, “Escape From the Happy Cannibal” by local author, Ron Miller. Ron has taken several year long adventures around the world and has turned his travels into very interesting reading. Today I have been lost in Ron’s tales about Israel, Ukraine, Indonesia, Nepal and China. Soon I must to get back to the very dry book on China economics. Although our China trip is months away, I hope to absorb quite a bit of info on the history and current policies before our adventure.

Gotta go…the alarms are sounding, my phone is ringing and the hotel is requesting all guests move to the hallway on the 1st floor. The tornado watch has turned into a warning and circular winds are on the ground just north of the hotel…
