After some months of reading, mapping, plotting and conversation, the trail plans for a late summer backpack in Glacier National Park have come together. I faxed the request to the National Park Service today. Now we wait for April 16 (or a few days later) when the NPS randomly selects from trip requests received between January 1 thru April 15 and confirms backcountry campsites. Between now and then, I will begin the process of working on Plan B, our backup trip, in the likely event our request is not one of the randomly selected trips.
