Tonight, while browsing the bookshelves at Borders, the notes of an Eastern European melody exploded in the air and filled the aisles with an irresistable sound. The rich music drew everyone in it’s path to the cafe where the band, Dor L’ Dor was playing.
Many a foot tapped and hands clapped as the nine member band played traditional Jewish music (think Fiddler on the Roof). Dor L’Dor (Generation to Generation), a band of nine musicans, delighted their audience with wedding songs, prayer songs, Greek tunes and other traditions melodies. What a delight to spend part of my evening listening!
