Just in from pottery class 2. Yeah 🙂 I think I am beginning to get it! Even though I have worn through some skin on my hands and cut my nice long fingernails to the quick, the technique of throwing clay is starting to come together. Tonight I had less clay in the mud pan and more clay on the wheel. My hands actually realized they are a pair working together and I completed a bowl from the clay preparation stage to the pot stage, a very cool feeling. I now have five little bowls of various shapes and sizes to glaze and fire. I can’t wait until class 3!
