John and his 14 year old son Lee completed their first metric century this morning, riding in the Smoky Mountain Wheelman’s 31st Annual Fall Century ride. Under lightly rainy skies, they finished the 62 miles in 4 hours. Both are pretty proud as their actual riding time was 3 hours 22 minutes. The rest of the time was spent at rest stops and several incidents involving bike repair. John was rumored to have said “damn bicycle” on several occasions.
