Temperature at 7:00 PM
It’s hot around these parts, record breaking hot! Knoxville reached 102-degrees around 2:00 PM, officially breaking the 101 record set somewhere back in the 1930’s. I am hearing a lot of “hot enough for ya” today. Yes, it’s definitely hot enough for me. I can hardly imagine what will happen in late August.
Meanwhile, we are headed to the mountains this weekend. A little get away if you will. Cooler temperatures were on our mind but cooler this weekend means 90’s and that is not much heat relief. Currently I am headed outside to fortify our newer shrubs and potted plants with water with the hope of keeping them alive through the weekend. It would take a second mortgage to fund the water bill to keep the grass healthy so it is going to have to suffer.
