Our little southern city remains in the grip of winter. We had a light dusting of powder overnight added to the 3″ on the ground. Roads are mostly clear outside of neighborhoods but work is erratic, opening and closing at odd hours.
Knoxville gets a real winter storm every few years but rarely to the degree of cities to the north. Yet it is enough to snarl traffic, close schools for days and send our local reporters to points north, south, east and west to do emergency roadside remotes, ad nauseum. And so the winter storm of 2011 continues…
