The Resume Struggle Continues

Feeling a little blah today so I took the day off from just about everything but my resume. This past month of joblessness has been a roller coaster. Some days are great, some days are totally anxiety ridden. My biggest hurdle has been my resume. Just getting the correct words in a format that I feel good about has been a challenge.

Yesterday while digging through Monster.com, I found a great way to present my recent experience and summarize the early stuff. Spent the morning feverishly pouring words on paper. It will take a little longer to finish descriptions and accomplishments, but I really like this format. While I will probably not meet my goal to complete the resume by Friday afternoon, I should finish no later than Monday.

This weekend is the 3rd annual Knoxville Marathon, Half Marathon and 5k. I have signed up to run the 5k. I have also volunteered to work the registration desk at the Expo on Saturday morning and work 2nd shift finish line on Sunday. Can’t imagine anything more motivating than being apart of the process as middle and back of the pack marathoners complete their marathon dream. I too have a dream to run a marathon and look forward to the day I will cross the finish line as a runner. Meanwhile, I will keep running, swimming, bicycling…and volunteering.
