Tonight John, Will, Kim and I went see “Spirit of the Marathon.” The film was scheduled in a limited number of cities for a one night showing, 01-24-08. Knoxville, like many cities across the country, sold out before the day of the show.
The film features 6 runners- 2 elite, 2 repeat marathoners and 2 new marathoners. The story line, through the voices of the athletes, tells how each came to the point of running the 2005 Chicago Marathon and follows their training and running the marathon. It is a story of dedication, pain, injury and success, and is very motivational. Eight thumbs up from the 4 of us!
