“You have very good bones….”

“…your fracture is healing faster than normal.” Just the words a woman of my…ah…age, wants to hear from the doctor at a post fracture exam. He went on to explain that there is good pain (stretching) and bad pain (reaching above the shoulder). “Avoid the bad pain.” As if he thinks I can move my arm more than 6″ inches in any one direction. Physical therapy starts on Monday and I image the good pain will feel bad.

In the meantime, I am slowly increasing my range of motion and the fading bruises are taking on the appearance of a bad tattoo. I look forward to being healed sufficiently for our upcoming backpack in the Maroon Bells Wilderness.
